Case study on the legal implications of the Pucallpa-Cruzeiro do Sul highway on the right to enjoy a healthy and sustainable environment (Peru-Brazil)

(CONTENT IN SPANISH) This report is the result of a joint effort between students of the Environmental Law Clinic at PUCP – Peru and the Human Rights and Environmental Law Clinic at the University of the State of Amazonas – Brazil. It was born as an academic initiative of the Environmental Legal Clinic of the Faculty of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, with the support of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

This report seeks to demonstrate that students are here to leave their mark and make visible the importance of complying with environmental and social standards in the development of infrastructure projects that seek to connect our Amazon, specifically cross-border highways. The result of this study is this research whose learning process seeks to be replicated in the university environment among environmental legal clinics in the region to continue strengthening and exchanging within the scope of the Alliance of Environmental Legal Clinics in order to find legal solutions to environmental problems that transcend our limits and borders and which require a common approach and commitment.
